Breathe deeply through both nostrils and hold for a few seconds until you feel full. While doing this, focus on your abdomen.

Bring your stomach so that your navel is as close to your spine as possible. To feel your muscles contracting, place your right hand on the abdomen. Relax from the contraction by exhaling quickly and forcefully for a brief period. Follow this up with an immediate, automatic inhalation. You will feel your lungs expanding as you relax your abdominal muscles.
